Terms & Conditions

By booking a service with Hasthi Travels, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Bookings & Payments

All bookings must be confirmed with an advance payment or deposit (amount specified at the time of booking).
The balance payment must be settled before the commencement of the tour or service.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, cash, or other approved methods.
Prices are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise stated.

Client Cancellations:
- More than 30 days before start date: full refund of balance (deposit non-refundable).
- 15–30 days before: 50% refund of total amount (excluding deposit).
- Less than 15 days before / No-shows: no refund.
Hasthi Travels Cancellations:
- If a service is cancelled by us (e.g., unforeseen circumstances), a full refund including deposit will be issued.
Refunds will be processed within 14 business days. Transaction fees may apply.

Requests to amend travel dates, services, or itineraries are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
Hasthi Travels reserves the right to adjust itineraries due to weather, safety, or operational reasons.

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, travel insurance, and other necessary documents.
Hasthi Travels will provide support but cannot be held liable for entry denials, visa refusals, or documentation issues.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover medical, cancellation, and personal belongings.
Hasthi Travels is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal items.

Hasthi Travels acts as an intermediary between clients and third-party providers (hotels, transport, excursions). We are not responsible for accidents, delays, injuries, or losses caused by third parties or unforeseen events (natural disasters, strikes, political unrest, etc.).
Clients participate in all activities at their own risk.

Clients are expected to follow local laws, respect cultural practices, and comply with guide instructions.
Misconduct, illegal activities, or behavior endangering others may result in immediate termination of services without refund.

Hasthi Travels shall not be held liable for delays, changes, or cancellations due to events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, government regulations, pandemics).

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
